Description

Meadow Lake and Area Early Childhood Services is looking for a dynamic individual to work in our Ile a la Crosse office. The Consultant/Facilitator works with families with youth aged 0 to 17 within the parameters of the ECIP and SSP respectively. Children who require support with advocacy and inclusion, or with or at risk of developmental delays are clients. Services are tailored to the needs of each family and may address family dynamics, parent-child interaction, child development, and community connections. Connecting families with local support systems, diagnostic services, school and life transitions and parent to parent or peer to peer connections is also a priority. The position also supports programming that is tailored to the needs of the community and may address needs relating to healthy beginnings, early learning and child care, and strong families. It is specifically for communities in the Ile a la Crosse and service area.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree in Social Work, Education, Health or related fields. Will consider those with less education who have relevant work experience.
Experience working with special needs children/youth and their families at home or in school.
Ability to work cooperatively with other agencies and professionals.
Experience in case management, documentation, stats collection.
Must possess cross-cultural knowledge and sensitivity.
Valid driver's license (travel required). Criminal Records check will be required.
