RIWC Regina Immigrant Women Centre is an immigrant settlement agency dedicated to integrating newcomer women and their families. If you have experience working with organizing community events, working with seniors who are isolated or have barriers restricting their social integration, we have an exciting opportunity for you
The Coordinator will be responsible for building and developing meaningful connections with community members
DUTIES
Organize, deliver and facilitate informative workshops and activities that build community connections and promote client well-being
Research and provide information on a variety of activities, community events and celebrations where Newcomer seniors and vulnerable women are able to participate
Establish and maintain appropriate community partnerships
Oversee interpretation, advocacy, and referral services to seniors
Ensure that services provided reflect the settlement needs of seniors
Collect, document and maintain accurate client and program statistics
Prepare written reports to funders and the Manager
Enter statistical information on the data system
Work closely with the Community Connections Outreach Worker to achieve the annual target number of clients,
Supervise the CC recreational programs and staff
Collaborate to source Volunteers where support is required
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in human services field or any related field
1-3 years relevant experience working in community organization or case management
Experience working with different communities and cultures
Respect for women and seniors of various backgrounds.
Good computer skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently
Good written and verbal communication skills
Function efficiently and effectively under very strict deadlines
Provide a clear criminal record check
Class 5 drivers license
Speaking another language is an asset
