Description

Reporting directly to the Medical Transportation Coordinator the Medical Taxi Driver will work with and transport clients for Muskeg Lake Cree Nation. This position holds a key responsibility in providing transportation services and has a considerable influence on the discipline and well-being of a client. The attributes of strong character, firmness, fairness, and courtesy are especially important to the effectiveness of a Medical Taxi Driver.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all administration, clients, outside agencies, and the community exercising excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making skills to ensure quality of work, meets expected standards.
    Able to assist clients IN and OUT of vehicle and into medical appointments.
    Current CPIC and Vulnerable Sector Check
    Must be eligible for MLCN Drivers list.
MANDATORY EXPECTATIONS:

    Must hold a Class 4 license or 1A and provide a Clean Drivers Abstract
    Must be thoroughly familiar with and abide by the relevant sections of the statutes and regulations of The Saskatchewan Highway Traffic Act.
    Always maintain strict confidentiality;
    Conduct all tasks regarding all relevant policies and procedures and legislation;
    Perform other duties assigned by the Medical Transportation Coordinator within the scope of duties.
    Must possess strong team building skills and a positive professional work ethic;
    Demonstrate the ability to be a positive role model;
    Willing to obtain additional and mandatory training;
    Willing to work flexible hours with some evening and weekend work;
    Must have First Aid/CPR or willing to get the certification upon hire.
