Description

This posting is for a Temporary Part-Time ELIS (Early Learning Intensive Support) Educational Assistant in our Pre-K classrooms, commencing August 26th, 2024 and ending June 30th, 2024.  Position hours are 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday in mornings or afternoons.  Educational Assistants are an important part of the school team and promote engagement, participation and success of students. Educational Assistants support students with intensive needs in five key areas: providing personal care, life skills and experiences, academic assistance, communication, and behavioural support as required by students and directed by teachers.


Qualifications

Minimum Grade 12 education with at least one (1) year relevant childcare experience
A post-secondary certificate from a recognized institution in Early Learning & Childcare, Youth Care Worker or equivalent program will be considered an asset.
