Description

The Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc. - EGADZ requires Youth Workers interested in Full Time, Part Time, or Casual shifts for select Programs within EGADZ.
(Shift Work Is RequiredDaytime/Evenings/Weekends

EGADZ is an inter-agency, non-profit organization whose purpose is providing services for hard-to-serve youth in Saskatoon with the mission to encourage and support them to make choices that improve their quality of life.

The Youth Worker position for the Transitional Team is required to work with Youth providing nonjudgmental care while demonstrating the ability to transition into the next stage of their journey.  The successful candidate must be a good listener, a strong problem solver, and solution-focused.

The Youth Worker reports to the Provincial Youth Committee Advisor and the Youth Committee. They work with all staff and community members to ensure the youth are part of their case plan, maintain progress on their pre-determined desirable outcomes, and are provided exceptional quality care.

Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in the human services field, equivalent experience or a combination of both
Demonstrate and practice a healthy lifestyle
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with youth, staff and partnering agencies while maintaining strict confidentiality and appropriate boundaries
Ability to express ideas and concepts effectively in an oral and written form
Working knowledge of computers/windows
Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and issues
A good understanding of EGADZ and our mission
Training in CPR and ASIST an asset
A valid Class 5 drivers license with a safe driving record - A Driver's Abstract is Required
Criminal records Check

Starting Wage $22.42
