Description

Reporting to the Manager, Security, this position is responsible for providing security input, process controls and expertise with chosen technology, during the development and implementation stages of networks, server applications, cloud services and hardware changes.
Assist IT staff in the containment and resolution of reported security incidents and coordinates the escalation of security incidents when they occur.
Collaborates with project managers on critical IT and security projects.
Works with SCIC's IT department and members of the information security team to identify, select and implement technical and policy controls.
Assists in the design, evaluation, and implementation of new security technologies.
Manages relationship with auditors. Receives audit findings, and manages the collection of responses and remediation plans with owners.
Monitors security logs, native consoles, security information and event management, correlation tools, and other analysis tools that watch for threats, vulnerabilities or environmental changes that affect risk.
Determine baseline security configuration standards for operating systems and all other networked devices.
Validates security configurations and access to security infrastructure tools.
Reports to SCIC's management concerning residual risk, vulnerabilities and other security exposures.
Provide training regarding security and awareness.
Provide recommendations to management on security measures.
