Description

Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, this position is responsible for the overall leadership of the Corporations Research and Development Unit.
Responsible for leadership, direction and management of the Research and Development team tasked with developing and implementing business risk management programming for Saskatchewan producers.
Manage the review and development of core program policy and development of new programs and program options.
Manage the review and development of actuarial methodologies to ensure appropriate and compliant approaches and results.
Manage the annual actuarial processes to set the premium rates, probable yield and insured values for all insurable units.
Manage the development of tools and advisory services to ensure program related policies and procedures are consistently administered, aligned with organizational direction, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Represent SCIC on the federal-provincial working groups to ensure Saskatchewans position represented and to provide strategic policy rationale for business risk management programs.
Collaborate with the Ministry of Agriculture to provide policy and program implications on decisions that will affect Saskatchewan producers.
Collaborate with other units within the Operations Division to deliver relevant programs and to enable service excellence.
Provide advice on the strategic plan and implement the corporate direction for the unit.
Be a leader in change management throughout the organization.
Actively engage and participate as a member of SCICs Executive Management team.
