We are currently looking for a mature, organized and friendly Administrative Assistant to join our team to fill an 8 month term(Medical Leave). Possibility that Term may be extended. Experience with Microsoft Office is required. The ability to learn our industry specific accounting (SAGE 300) and payroll systems is also required. Good communication skills, punctuality, demonstrated ability to multi-task and a positive enthusiastic attitude are character traits we are looking for in candidates.
Duties of Position:
Reception duties including distribution of mail, receiving deliveries and organizing material shipments.
Processing invoices and data entry in Accounts Payable
Processing Payroll using electronic Time keeping and accounting systems.
Managing project paperwork related to contracts and change orders
Responsible for the filing and administration of Project Files- ensuring records are properly maintained
Assist with incoming and outgoing project correspondence as required
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements of the position:
Business or administrative certificate/diploma
Two to five years of relevant work experience
Proficiency in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Positive attitude, ability to manage multiple projects with initiative, work within set deadlines. Self-starter with strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
Construction industry knowledge an asset
Knowledge of contract accounting as asset
