Description

The Cumberland House Housing Authority (CHHA) is currently recruiting a part-time, (20 hours per week) Administrative Assistant to join their team for a term of 6 months.  If you have excellent organizational skills, are able to multitask, and thrive in a team environment, we have a position that may be of interest to you!  

In this front-line administrative position, you will:
-Respond to inquiries related to housing programs and services, including incoming calls and walk-in traffic
-Enter applicant and tenant data, ensuring accurate and current information is maintained
-Complete move-ins and move-outs with tenants as required, and participate in move visits with applicants and tenants
-Assist with lease contraventions and tenant issues, and attend Tenant Association meetings as requested
-Maintain general office, tenant, and rental until file systems
-Provide coverage to office staff and Manager as requested
-Receive payments, issue receipts, and prepare bank deposits and invoices for payment
-Work hours are 4 hours/day, 5 days/week

What we are looking for:
-Efficient with Microsoft Office
-Knowledge of basic office and accounting procedures
-Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide professional service to clients/customers

What you will need:
-Grade 12 or equivalent (some post-secondary in business administration would be an asset)
-Ability to handle stressful situations and possible exposure to verbal abuse, bodily harm, and exposure to communicable diseases
-Self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
-A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment
