In this role, you will manage a number of major earth-moving, construction, and facility improvement projects at McClean Lake. You will have the opportunity to supervise and mentor staff, lead and maintain department KPIs and improvement initiatives, as well as handle the departments change controls and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities:
-Supervise, mentor and delegate daily tasks. Work to coordinate personnel and equipment to support projects
-Supervise Planner responsible for site mobile equipment maintenance planning and scheduling
-Advance and maintain department KPIs and other reporting tools
-Administer project portfolio of medium and long-term projects
-Lead tendering process
-Manage maintenance of McClean Lake of geotechnical structures of concern including the coordination of performing repairs and providing technical guidance
-Thoroughly review of all civil-related engineering reports and studies
-Ensure budget proposals are completed for capital projects managed by the department
-Administer Site Services Asset management risk review process, provide insight on anticipated failures
Skills and Qualifications:
-Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or an equivalent combination of experience and training
-Minimum of 15 years experience in direct coordination of heavy equipment earth moving projects
-PMP certification is preferred
-Competent in MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD C3D, SURPAC and survey data management/maintenance applications
-Education, knowledge and experience in fleet operations and maintenance
-Ability to analyze complex engineering and maintenance issues
Work Location & Schedule:
-McClean Lake
-10-day in/ 10-day out rotating schedule
-Normally an 11-hour work day, although some activity outside of normal working hours may be required
-Mostly indoor office work, but some outdoor field work required
