Qualifications:
-Early Childhood Education (Levels 1, 2, or 3); or LPN, Health Birth Educator or Degree in a related field. Equivalent experience and/or education may be considered.
-Knowledge in early childhood development, family dynamics, and prevention strategies.
-Must possess effective communication skills (both oral and written) as well as strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
-Proven ability to work both independently and as a team member.
-Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
-Must possess a valid drivers license, have access to a reliable vehicle, and obtain a $2,000,000.00 liability insurance policy.
-The ability to travel on occasion may be required for the position.
The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
-Identify, recruit & support prenatal or new postnatal women to enroll & participate in the KFN program.
-Establish and maintain a warm, trusting, and nurturing relationship consistently to ensure continuity for pregnant and postnatal women.
-Enhance family function by building a trusting and supportive relationship with prenatal & postnatal families.
-Facilitate the delivery of the prenatal curriculum with activities that empower families and their relationships/interactions.
-Promote, educate, and create awareness in the community about prenatal education & health care resources and create links and supports for prenatal women including prenatal classes in partnership with local healthcare providers.
