The Provincial Capital Commission (PCC) provides enhanced visitor experiences and educational programming in Wascana Centre and at the Government House to inspire pride in Saskatchewan's Capital City. The Provincial Capital Commissions strategic focus is to enhance the quality of life in the Capital city by creating community partnerships, promoting visitor experiences, and providing stewardship of the land and assets managed.
We are looking to add a self-motivated, client and team-orientated individual with a strong attention to detail to our team as an Accounting Clerk. Reporting to the Finance Manager of Finance, the successful candidate will be flexible to successfully adapt to changing work environments, processes, and workloads.
You will need the ability to:
- Verbally provide clear, concise, and accurate explanations of policies, procedures, entitlements, and other information;
- Ability to calmly listen, assess and clarify problems and respond with options to clients, co-workers and/or vendors who may be angry, confused or upset;
- Work independently and cooperatively with others in a team environment to establish, build, and maintain positive work relationships and ensure deadlines, goals, and objectives are met;
- Plan and organize a large volume of work, taking into consideration frequent interruptions and conflicting and changing priorities to meet tight deadlines;
- Maintain and archive hard copy or electronic records management systems to quickly locate and retrieve information when needed; and more!
Qualifications:
- Know applicable accounting principles and procedures; and
- Qualified applicants would typically have an Accounting Certificate or equivalent experience.
