What youll do:
Reporting to the Crop Input Manager, the Sales Agronomist is responsible for driving sales and building profitable relationships with local producers. The Sales Agronomist will focus on customer relations, lead generation, and promoting the Co-ops products and services. This role requires a deep understanding of crop inputs, fertilizer, and farm equipment, as well as strong sales and customer service skills.
- Generate leads and create sales through direct customer contact.
- Understand local producers' needs and offer tailored product and service solutions to optimize agricultural output.
- Build and maintain relationships with current and potential customers to promote the Co-op's products and services.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through trust, service, and integrity.
- Provide on-site farm support and delivery of Co-op products.
- Make product, service, and program recommendations to meet and exceed customer needs, involving field scouting, plot tours, and providing the latest information on seed, weed, disease, and insect control.
- Stay informed on current and future agricultural trends to better serve customers.
- Develop and implement strategies for growth opportunities and market development.
- Assist with inventory management to ensure stock matchs demand.
- Other duties as assigned.
Who you are:
- Have a degree or diploma in Agriculture or equivalent experience.
- Experience in sales or agriculture is an asset.
- You hold a valid drivers license.
