Are you passionate about doing meaningful work? Do you care about water as one of our most important resources? The Water Security Agency is seeking an Irrigation Agrologist to join the Agriculture Services & Economic Development division.
Reporting to the Director, Irrigation Development, this position works closely with producers, producer groups, colleagues, and researchers to provides in-depth and comprehensive technical expertise in irrigation development, water management practices, technologies, and regulatory requirements, agreement, and initiatives.
This position provides in-depth and comprehensive technical expertise in irrigation development, water management practices, technologies, and regulatory requirements agreement initiatives. As well as participates in irrigation projects, providing development requirements as well as troubleshooting issues through various communications to clients, industry partners, and colleagues.
You will also collaborate with colleagues in Licensing and Water Use, Agricultural Water Management, other Agency stakeholders and Ministry of Agriculture to provide program awareness, education, and application administration support to ensure ease of use and maximization of irrigation uptake.
The successful candidate will have a Degree in Agriculture or equivalent with knowledge of agronomy and irrigation and is eligible for membership in the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrology.
