Description

The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a clean, safe and sanitary environment in and around the Prince Albert Police Service facilities by performing a wide variety of custodial duties.

This is a casual, Out of Scope, (excluded from the CBA) civilian position, with the Prince Albert Police Service
Hours of work are Friday, Saturday and Sundays, 6.5 hours a day
Casual call-in to cover annual leave, sick leave, and special projects will be required
Shifts may include up to 8 hours at a time and include days, weekends, and statutory Holidays

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
Cleaning floors, carpets, bathrooms
Cleaning offices including furniture, mechanical devices, windows and walls
Garbage and trash duties in and around facility
Maintaining Inventory lists of cleaning supplies
Meeting with supervisors and members to assess custodian needs in a professional manner
Janitorial and manual labor during special events

Required Qualifications:
Grade 12 or equivalent
Professional cleaning experience, preferably in a commercial or business setting
Experience using industrial cleaning equipment
WHMIS Training an asset. ( training will be provided if needed)
Ability to follow the Act, Regulations and Policies related to Occupational Health and Safety
Ability to work safely, recognize unsafe situations, and recommend solutions
Ability to properly handle chemicals
