Description

The Princess Shop removes barriers by providing formal wear to create an enhanced Graduation experience. We are seeking a summer student to assist our Operations Manager in developing programming focused on the Ribbon Skirt.
Tasks and Responsibilities include:
- Work with Indigenous community partners to establish program parameters and outreach goals for the 2025 graduation season.
- Assist in organizing community events and fundraising activities.
- Monitor and answer phone calls and email
- Cover shop hours and accept donations
- Develop and post social media messaging
- Create stakeholder engagement communications
- Complete other tasks to support operations and program needs

Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Great attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to build relationships in the community
- Commitment to Reconciliation and inclusion
- Aptitude for technology and social media
- Incumbent must be aged 15 to 30 (qualify for funding through the Canada Summer Jobs program)
- Upper-body ability to lift up to 10 lbs
- Completion of a Criminal Record Check, including vulnerable sector search is a pre-condition of employment
- Preference will be given to Indigenous and two-spirit candidates, as per section 48 of the Saskatchewan Human Rights Code.
