Scott Colony School offers a K-9 program for students based on the Hutterite Colony southwest of Scott, Saskatchewan.  There is a strong focus on learning English as an Additional Language as the students are all EAL.  At Scott Colony School we are building a community of lifelong learners who are responsible, respectful members of the colony. Summary of Position

This posting is for a Permanent Part-Time (.80 FTE)  Educational Assistant Position at Scott Colony School, commencing August 26th, 2024.  Hours of work are 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday.  Educational Assistants are an important part of the school team and promote engagement, participation and success of students. Educational Assistants support students with intensive needs in five key areas: providing personal care, life skills and experiences, academic assistance, communication, and behavioural support as required by students and directed by teachers.


Qualifications

Minimum Grade 12 education with at least one (1) year relevant childcare experience
Post-secondary certificate from a recognized institution in Early Learning & Childcare, Youth Care Worker or equivalent program would be considered an asset
