The Opportunity
We are currently hiring for a permanent part time bookkeeper to join our team. In collaboration with the Executive Director, the bookkeeper is responsible for performing a variety of bookkeeping and accounting duties such as processing bi-weekly payroll and ensuring all related records are current including journal entries, processing invoices, account reconciliations, bank deposits, petty cash, and other related duties. This position also maintains records of assets and liabilities, and prepares monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements/reports.
Key requirements include:
Advance proficiency in bookkeeping for a non-profit organization.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a bookkeeping role.
Proficient in SAGE/Simply Accounting and Excel.
Experience reporting to a board of directors.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
