Description

The Heavy Duty Mechanic, under the direction of the Public Works Operations Manager, is responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of the Villages equipment fleet to ensure safe and dependable operation. Responsible for maintaining accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs including utilizing software apps to track and report. Able to source and order parts and supplies as required. Maintains a neat and safe work environment.

As part of the Public Works team, the Heavy Duty Mechanic will carry out duties in a fast-paced, complex working environment with competing demands for time and resources. The Heavy Duty Mechanic must always demonstrate integrity and professionalism in the conduct of their duties, while meeting a high standard for customer service and public service delivery.
