Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team. The Accounting Clerk works closely with the accounting and property management teams to undertake an assortment of accounting related duties within a diverse portfolio. This position is centered around receiving, processing, and verifying all payables.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable:
Managing and sorting all incoming bills.
Accurately entering bills into property management software (Yardi) or QuickBooks Online.
Professionally responding to vendor inquiries.
Reviewing vendor statements and credit card statements to ensure that all payables have been captured and following up on bills that have not been received.
Accounting:
Reconciling and billing recoverable expenses.
Reconciling bank accounts and credit cards.
Assisting accountants with the preparation of month-end financial reports.
Calculating and billing monthly management fees.
General:
Follow all internal systems and processes and provide recommendations for improvement.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience with accounts payable.
Can-do attitude.
Willingness to help where needed.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
