Description

Lakeview Colony is a farming community where people live and work together.  This way of life has allowed them to maintain their culture, religion, language and customs. Lakeview Colony School is located approximately 30 km Southeast of Unity, SK and 35 km southwest of Wilkie, Sk. where a total of three staff work together to deliver educational programming to approximately 16 of their students.  We are looking for a person who is committed to student learning and is willing to work within a communal setting where there is a mutual respect for cultural differences.  We welcome your interest! Summary of Position

This posting is for a Permanent Part-Time (.70) Educational Assistant Position at Lakeview Colony School, commencing August 26th, 2024.   Hours of work are 6 hours per day- alternating between four days (M/T/TH/F) one week and three days (M/TH/F) the next week.  Educational Assistants are an important part of the school team and promote engagement, participation and success of students. Educational Assistants support students with intensive needs in five key areas: providing personal care, life skills and experiences, academic assistance, communication, and behavioural support as required by students and directed by teachers.

Qualifications

Minimum Grade 12 education with at least one (1) year relevant childcare experience
Post-secondary certificate from a recognized institution in Early Learning & Childcare, Youth Care Worker or equivalent program would be considered an asset
