Pemiska Tourism, an esteemed Indigenous tourism operation located within the culturally, and historically rich Beardy's & Okemasis' Cree Nation, is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as an Experience Development Officer. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and sustainability of Indigenous tourism while showcasing the vibrant traditions and heritage of our community.
As the Experience Development Officer/Tourism Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the development, promotion, and management of Indigenous tourism experiences within the Beardy's & Okemasis' Cree Nation. You will collaborate closely with community members, stakeholders, and partners to create authentic and immersive experiences that celebrate our cultural heritage and natural landscapes.

Your responsibilities will include:

1.    Designing and implementing innovative tourism experiences that reflect the unique traditions, stories, and values of the Beardy's & Okemasis' Cree Nation.
2.    Developing strategic partnerships with local businesses, government agencies, and tourism organizations to enhance the visibility and accessibility of Indigenous tourism offerings.
3.    Managing day-to-day operations, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and logistics, to ensure exceptional guest experiences and operational efficiency.
4.    Conducting market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and opportunities for growth in the Indigenous tourism sector.
5.    Overseeing marketing and promotional initiatives, including website content, social media campaigns, and print materials, to attract visitors and increase brand awareness.
6.    Providing leadership, guidance, and support to staff and community members involved in tourism-related activities, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
    Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration, Native Studies, History, Tourism, or related field.
