The Role
You will be responsible for the safe operation of active mill circuits and water treatment circuits in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to meet operating plans. This includes monitoring environmental, safety and process controls, safe execution of facility operator care rounds, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
In this role, you will:
Operate the mill circuits in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Participate in corrective and preventative maintenance planning and implementation.
Perform inspections on the environment and safety protection systems.
Be part of the site emergency response and mine rescue team. As a member of the team, you will receive emergency response and mine rescue training to support safe and effective response in the event of an emergency on site, including both surface and underground fire and rescue situations. You will be required to participate in first aid, fire, and other emergency response exercises and scenarios. Participation will be subject to successful completion of both physical condition and medical testing.
Required:
Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
Up to two years of relevant work experience
Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Asset:
Experience in mill or water treatment operations
Power Engineering experience and/or certification
Background in Mine Rescue, Emergency Response, and/or first aid
