Description

Muskeg Lake First Nation is seeking a motivated and compassionate leader to ensure adherence to policies, handle complex cases, and provide guidance to staff and clients. This role will oversee a team responsible for administering and maintaining income assistance programs. Their role involves leadership, policy implementation, quality assurance, training, collaboration, reporting, and problem-solving. Ultimately, they aim to improve program efficiency, uphold standards, and support individuals and families in need. The Employment & Income Assistance Supervisor will support individuals to achieve their goals through developing case plans and providing referrals for training and employment with a focus on improved quality of life.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Determines individuals initial and on-going financial eligibility/ineligibility based on established policies;
    Informs individuals regarding documentation requirements, next steps, and answers questions regarding eligibility;
    Support individuals in filling out the documentation and assist with obtaining the required identification as needed;
    Supervising and leading a team of income assistance caseworkers to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services;
    Monitoring the quality and accuracy of case documentation, eligibility determinations, and client interactions to maintain high standards of service delivery;
    Support individuals with disabilities and special needs to obtain the additional benefits as required;
    Authorizes benefits once eligibility has been determined and ensure updates and adjustments are completed which includes recapturing overpayments as necessary;
    Using the quality of life framework support individuals to development employment case plans that are outcome based;
    Assist in assessing individual needs, skills, and barriers to employment;
    Provide referrals and advocacy to support individuals to receive the information they need;
