Description

Come join our team at Millennium Land Ltd.; one of the largest and most dynamic land acquisition and environmental services companies in Western Canada!  

As a Junior Environmental Scientist your work will be approximately 70% field based and 30% office based.  Specifically, primary duties will relate to Oil & Gas Reclamation and Remediation.  You will report directly to the Manager of Reclamation and have the support of the entire Millennium team.

Key duties may include, but are not limited to:
    Conducting Gas Migration and SCVF Testing;
    Conducting Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I and Phase II);
    Conducting work associated with wellsite and flowline abandonment;
    Conducting Spill Response for Oil & Gas properties;
    Groundwater well sampling and analysis;
    Preparing formal reports and approval submissions; and,
    Other duties as required.

The successful candidate should have:
    Post-secondary degree or diploma (degree in Agrology, Environmental Sciences, or similar field preferred);
    Hold, or be eligible for, certification from a Professional Organization (SIA, APEGS, SASTT, ASPB, etc.);
    Experience in the environmental field considered an asset;
    Knowledge of Saskatchewan oil and gas sector;
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
    Strong time management and organizational skills;
    Ability to meet tight deadlines;
    Valid Class 5 drivers license with clean abstract;

Desired Attributes (not required):
    Applicable, up to date Field Safety Tickets (First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive, etc.)
    Experience leading field crews and managing subcontractors is beneficial.
    Experience with maintaining, calibrating, and using a variety of monitoring instruments;
