Come and join our team! DSI Underground Canada, a Sandvik Company, is a leading global supplier of ground support solutions, for the mining and construction industry.

The Financial Analyst is responsible for reconciling general ledger accounts; reconciling intercompany accounts, preparing reports for internal and external uses, assist with year-end working papers and annual budgeting process.

Reports to: Controller

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares reconciliations for banks and various general ledger accounts

Completion and maintenance of general ledger and financial reports

Reconcile related intercompany accounts

Creates reports to support Finance and Operations

Assists in preparation of departmental and Company budgets

Assists with year-end working papers

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

Background in manufacturing methods and process improvement programs is preferred.

Strong verbal/written communication skills.

Proficient in MS Office Programs, particularly Excel, and MS Navision finance system

Ability to work and interface with all departments.

Demonstrates the ability to work well with computers and maintain databases effectively

Basic knowledge of fundamental accounting policies and procedures is required

3-5 years experience with G/L accounts and reconciliations

EDUCATION
Accounting diploma or degree is required

Accounting designation would be considered an asset

Tax and Auditing experience would be considered an asset
