-assist in preparation of large quantities of food, includes washing, peeling, slicing and chopping of raw fruits and vegetables while following safe food practices
-measuring ingredients and following recipes of simple dishes such as salads, dressings, and desserts
-maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing and sanitizing dishes, work surfaces, utensils and equipment
-ensure all food and other items are stored properly
-comply with sanitation guidelines
-assist in set up and tear down of serving stations
-monitoring serving stations and replace food/beverage items as required
Skills & Qualifications:
-follow a prep list of planned duties
-measure ingredients and seasonings
-show manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
-patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
-very good physical condition and endurance
-previous food service skills and experience would be considered an asset.
