We are very excited to be growing our Sandbox Mutual Insurance family. We have a permanent full-time position of Claims Desk Adjuster and are on the search for our team member. Reporting to the Manager, Claims & Facilities, the successful candidate is responsible for investigating, negotiating, and settling personal lines, auto, farm, liability, commercial and injury claims in accordance with company policies and procedures via telephone, email, and video communication.
As Claim Desk Adjuster, YOU Will Be Responsible For
Investigates claims via telephone, email, and video communication, exercising judgment in relation to policy verification and coverage determination.
Documents claim files by accurately capturing and updating claims data / information.
Establishes timely reserves and performs ongoing review throughout claims cycle within authority limit by estimating and validating value of claims.
Writes estimates for related damage, provides customers scope of loss and cost of repairs. Negotiates settlement of claims in a satisfactory and equitable manner, within authority limit.
Reports claims information to senior claims personnel on claims in excess of prescribed authority limit.
Works to have a timely resolution to claims; escalating issues as appropriate;
Ensures customer service by proactively communicating information and responding to inquiries from insureds, brokers, and adjusters in a timely manner;
Addresses potential subrogation on files, and refers claims to appropriate personnel if fraud is identified;
