Duties
Under the direction of the Program Manager
Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Inclusion Support Workers.
Model positive programming strategies
Provide additional support to the Support Workers as needed
Intervene and manage incidents/injury and incident/injury reports
Debrief with Program Manager after behavior outbursts and incidents
Oversee the use of Communication books and reporting
Implement support plans and goals
Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work; including the ability to work independently and be self-motivated
Experience working with special needs and challenging behaviors
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and listen empathetically
Ability to work in high stress situations
Leadership qualities including conflict resolution,
Working knowledge of office equipment;
Proficiency using Google environment an asset
Strong organizational skills;
Requirements:
Possess a valid class 5 drivers license, access to a reliable vehicle on a daily basis and be willing to use vehicle for work duties, and must show proof of Third part Liability insurance $1,000,000 minimum
A combination of education and experience working with children and youth;
Provide a current Criminal Record background check including the vulnerable sector,
The ability to lift/pull 50 pounds regularly,
The ability to respond quickly to sounds,
The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces,
The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations,
The ability to be on your feet for 2 to 3 hours at a time, and
Be 18 years or older
First Aid/CPR B certification is an asset
