Description

The Ministry of Highways, Yorkton District Operations, is seeking an Equipment Operator, one for the Elfros/Kelvington Section.

As a member of the Section Crew, you will

- Operate, service, and maintain heavy equipment such as tandem trucks with hydrodrum, spinner, and snowplow attachments, motor graders, and front-end loaders.
- Perform various highway maintenance functions in the summer and snow and ice removal in the winter months.
- Keep records and logs of hours of operation, repairs, and amounts of materials applied to highways.
- In the absence of the supervisor, you may be assigned supervisory responsibilities.

You will work under extreme and changing climate conditions and must be willing to travel and work flexible hours. You must be able and willing to work in physically demanding conditions and perform physical labour, heavy lifting, and climbing.

To qualify for this position, you must hold a valid Class 1A drivers license.

Candidates must be able to perform the duties of this position in a safe manner. A criminal record check and a driver's abstract will be requirements of this job.
