Description

The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement (SBP) provides central co-ordination and delivery of property management, information technology, procurement, project management, transportation, and other services to government ministries and agencies.

The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join the Health Infrastructure branch on a two-year term position as a Senior Project Manager in the Construction Unit.  The Construction unit is responsible for the project management of health infrastructure projects, such as hospitals and long-term care homes, primarily through the construction phase of work.

This opportunity plays a significant role in guiding the construction of provincial health infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on collaborating with health stakeholders to achieve on-time and on-budget delivery. You will work with stakeholders to build technical expertise, improve the design and construction of new and existing facilities, and help shape the development of health facilities in the Province.

Typically, the knowledge and experience required to be successful in this position would have been obtained through the following:

- A degree in architecture or engineering, as well as some related experience. Alternately, a technologist diploma, coupled with significant related experience in a similar role or in industry, will be considered;
- Legal authorization to work in Canada and ability to provide proof upon request;
- Familiarity with project management, procurement methodologies, project delivery models, understanding of municipal and civil infrastructure requirements, project costing, budgeting, and scheduling; and
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or related designations will be considered an asset.

A combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
