Facility: MENTAL HEALTH OUTPATIENT
Job Description: The Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Consultant Senior is responsible for planning, development, organization and delivery of ASD services within the framework of the interdisciplinary team. The ASD consultant provides coaching, mentoring and guidance to staff, ASD Support Workers, Educational Staff and Community Partners.
Required Qualifications

Eligibility for registration in corresponding professional association
Master's Degree in health, social sciences or other equivalent field
Must have CPR certification
Training in Autism Spectrum Disorder and treatment, normal and abnormal child development, and Applied Behavioral Analysis
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Experience
2 years experience working with children with ASD and/or normal and abnormal child development
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to effectively counsel and work with individuals, families, and groups
Ability to travel, including overnight stays when required
Demonstrated ability to implement change and evaluate program practice/direction
Demonstrated leadership, communication, decision making, documentation and organizational skills
Demonstrated understanding the role of community supports for the child/adolescent and family
Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorders
Knowledge of research process and methodology and the ability to apply research to practice
Supervisory skills
Travel is required.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA. A vulnerable sector check (VSC)
