Job Description: As a member of the Problem Gambling Program and under the general direction of the Out-of-Scope Manager and the clinical supervisor; is responsible for the day to day client service delivery (development, implementation, delivery and assistance with evaluation) of Problem Gambling services. Individual and group counseling in addictions related areas is required.
Required Qualifications

Degree in Addiction Counselling or in an applicable Human Service field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to accurately assess addictions and make appropriate recovery plans
Ability to promote healthy lifestyles in urban and rural settings and with diverse populations.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Effective oral and written communication skills
Individual and group counseling skills with a focus on problem gambling.
Individual and group counselling skills with a focus on problem gambling.
Knowledge of best practices in the addictions field and harm reduction strategies including the Saskatchewan Model of Recovery Services (SMRS)
Knowledge of the development model of recovery (SMRS)
Skills in Program Development. Delivery of presentations in the community, including workshop development and delivery.
Strong knowledge of mental health and addictions, as well as, addiction related issues and the effects on the individual, family unit and community including co-current disorders and the issues related to gambling addictions.
Strong knowledge of the Motivational Assessment Process and the Policies and Procedures established by Mental Health and Addiction Services.
