Job Description: The Practitioner Staff Affairs (PSA) provincial office provides SHA wide support through a coordinated team based approach. Provincial services are provided centrally and support local delivery in the 6 PSA area offices. The Specialist is responsible for standard provincial physician strategies and development and maintenance of provincial physician systems to support the Practitioner Staff Affairs portfolio.
The Specialist will provide technical and strategic advice to all levels of management on issues such as provincial physician contracts, compensation policy and standard work for clinical, academic and physician leadership services. The Specialist supports standard provincial physician compensation rates and contracts that reflect a potential mix of clinical, academic and physician leadership services. The Specialist supports and works with internal staff and external organizations to continuously advance expertise, skill, and quality of product and service in provincial physician contracting and planning particularly as relates to contracts, policies and standards. The individual performs a full range of research, qualitative and quantitative analytic modeling, data management and contracting functions that enable the Ministry of Health and stakeholder organizations to accurately plan for and engage the population need for physician delivered and led services.
Required Qualifications
Licensed and in good standing with professional association and/or regulatory body, if applicable
Undergraduate degree or diploma in Business, Human Resources, or Project Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Class 5 Driver's license
