Description

As a Product Drafting CAD Technician, you will be a key player in designing and reproducing of shipping container modification parts and solutions tailored to our clients' needs.

Collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and design teams to understand project requirements and objectives for designs and manufacturing processes of modification parts.
Utilize CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D designs, The successful candidate will input design specifications into CAD software, assemble prototypes, make revisions, render products and deliver final models on time.
Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing.
Design and develop 2D models of new products.
Generate prototypes and test designs to evaluate their performance and make necessary improvements.
Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to support the production of modified container parts.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to shipping container modifications.
Provide technical support to project managers to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
Mentor junior CAD technicians and share knowledge within the team.
Improve existing designs and manufacturing processes.
Work closely with Engineers and CAD Technicians.
Commercialize new products - assist with pricing, packaging, and documentation of procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or Diploma in graphic design, related field, or relevant experience is required.
Minimum 1 year CAD design and 3D modeling experience.
Proficiency in CAD software, such as Autodesk programs, AutoCAD, OnShape, Inventor or equivalent.
Knowledge of metal design & manufacturing processes is an asset.
Strong organizational and critical-thinking problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and accuracy in design and documentation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
