Description

RESPONSIBILITES
Research and RSVP to various community events, walks, activities and celebrations in the areas we serve;
Positively represent BBBS of Regina and Area at community events, walks, activities and celebrations;
Act as a champion for BBBS Regina and Area and help recruit new volunteer mentors and accept donations;
Research, develop and facilitate components of planned fundraisers and events (including WestJet Raffle and Community AGM), including logistics;
Prepare and disseminate fundraising communications to the public, donors and sponsors (for example, newsletters, infographics, campaign material, web content and social media messaging);
Serve as a point of contact to donors, sponsors and event attendees;
Organize and manage volunteer schedules.
Co-facilitate bi-monthly Group Programming activities, including 1-week of The C.A.M.P. as a trained mentor
Any additional duties as required.

YOU WILL BRING
As this position is dependent on receiving funding through the Canada Summer Jobs program, therefore applicants must meet the following requirements,
o You must be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
o You must be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and RefugeeProtection Act for the duration of the employment, and;
o You must be legally entitled to work according to relevant provincial legislation and regulations.
o International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents
Relevant experience in the planning and facilitation of group programming and/or events for children and youth
Ability to be flexible as some evening and weekend work is required
