Description

The Housing Administrator reports to the Director of Operations, the Housing Administrator is responsible for overseeing and performing tasks associated with the Muscowpetung Saulteaux Nations New Housing Construction, renovations, maintenance and the housing administration The Housing Administrator will be managing the day to day work activities of the construction and or renovation crews and any other related staff associated with the construction and renovation projects, ensuring effective construction techniques and all workmanship is according to National Building Code and other applicable construction codes standards.
The Housing Administrator will assist with the planning and development of the housing construction and maintenance plans, priorities and policies. The Housing Administrator must liaise with the housing staff, contractors, vendors and other service providers, suppliers, engineers, inspectors, as well as tenants, to ensure effective maintenance and repairs of the housing inventory and maintenance planning. The Housing Administrator shall monitor the construction of new homes, monitor and oversee the maintenance of all the band's housing assets and ensure the existing housing stock is maintained to a satisfactory standard and will report to the Director of Operations on any concerns, issues or delays.
