Reporting to the Director of Capital Projects, this position will provide infrastructure planning and project coordination services for the planning, design, and construction of Pre-K to Grade 12 and post-secondary education infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with school divisions and other stakeholders to establish and manage the course of capital projects and provide professional input to a variety of ministry teams dedicated to supporting and enhancing education capital processes.

The Successful Candidate Will:
- Review and analyze school division capital requests for renovations and new construction, and make recommendations for funding options that align with the government's strategy for sustainable infrastructure over the long term;
- Provide stakeholders with engineering and architectural oversight to support comprehensive projects and maintenance planning that consider the infrastructure priorities of the Ministry;
- Provide leadership to school divisions and other partners to ensure capital projects are completed within approved budgets and timelines, and meet current legislative requirements;
- Track and report project costs, ensuring projects are within budget allocations;
- Forecast and prepare information for budget purposes, ensuring an accurate five-year capital plan;
- Ensure infrastructure risks for school divisions are identified, communicated, and managed according to ministry policy; and
- Represent the Ministry on construction-related topics with various agencies and organizations, including Boards of SaskBuilds and Procurement, Boards of Education, architectural and engineering consultants, other government departments and agencies, municipal governments, and community groups.
