Job Description:
We are presently seeking a Heavy Duty Truck Technician to join our Peterbilt dealership in Lloydminster, SK.  This position is responsible for the repair & maintenance of Truck & Trailer based equipment & attachments in a shop environment.

Responsibilities:
- Efficiently & effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, & repair heavy duty equipment
- Use secondary materials & equipment safely and efficiently
- Use related instruments, hand & power tools, secondary equipment, & computer systems
- Accurately & completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, & time taken
- Continually assess service task hazards & ensure work is performed safely, & to accepted standards          
- Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis
- Use parts catalogues to locate parts, & order parts from parts personnel
- Road test equipment & check attachment operation as required

Required Skills:
- Must have the ability to communicate & work effectively with customers, the service team, & branch personnel
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Required Experience:
- Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred
- Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred
- Experience in CAT, CUMMINs and PACCAR engines considered an asset
- Experience with electrical diagnosis /troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems considered an asset
- Enrolled into oncall rota considered an asset
- Class 1a would also be considered an asset
