INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC (MILLWRIGHT) - Journeyperson

As part of the Maintenance Department, the Industrial Mechanic works as part of the team to assist in maintaining the mechanical equipment in the mill.

Responsibilities:
-Follows all safe work practices and procedures
-Performs hands-on routine planned, predictive and corrective mechanical maintenance
-Works with vendors to research mechanical technologies for optimizing mill equipment
-Reviews and interprets mechanical drawings
-Troubleshoots with other mill personnel, operational problems with equipment
-Develops and implements reliability integrity strategies for mechanical equipment
-Cleans, lubricates and performs other maintenance work
-Maintains a high level of housekeeping standards

Qualifications:
-Red Seal Journeyperson status as Industrial Mechanic or related trade is required
-Highly motivated and able to work independently
-Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
-Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and temperatures
-Manual dexterity and ability to remain standing, crouching or bending for long periods of time.

Must be willing to work shift coverage and overtime as required to meet emergency mill needs and for scheduled mill outages.
