Description

Experienced Care for mid-60 year old paraplegic lady with rheumatoid arthritis and scoliosis in home environment.

Duties include:  
- Operation of ceiling transfer lift and sling.
- Assistance with morning, and evening shift: routine (commode and catheter care, personal care, dressings/undressing, wound care maintenance).
- Bathing/showering.
- Wound care.
- Range of motion exercise.
- Using lift for positioning and adjusting while in wheelchair and bed.
- Laundry, food preparation and light housekeeping.
- Must love dogs.
- Must have vehicle. Bus schedules will not be acceptable.
- DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT CURRENTLY LIVE IN REGINA.

Must have experience operating a ceiling transfer lift. A good sense of body anatomy for straight and accurate positioning is a must.

Currently hiring for morning and/or evening shifts. Morning shifts are 4hours 6:00-10:00;biweekly afternoons; evening shifts are 2 hours starting at 9:00. Flexible scheduling.

Transportation to arrive as scheduled is crucial.
Must have vehicle. Bus schedules do not accommodate 6:00 am start time or end time for evening shifts.

The goal is to have regular, flexible staff to cover all shifts. Preference may be given to individuals who are available for several shifts per week.

Prior patient care experience is mandatory, Experience with paraplegic beneficial.
Please note I am one individual hiring my own staff for caring for me only. This employment is in my home, NOT a care home.Do not apply if you are seeking job  position in care facility or full-time employment.  I  employ 5 staff to  work independently each shift.
