Description

The Education Consultant will work with the principal, vice-principal, teachers, educational assistants, parents, and caregivers and school community members alongside the Director of Education. The Consultant will promote philosophy, goals and objectives of the Cowessess Community Education Centre and its policies. Must collaborate, communicate, and consult with the Director of Education on a regular basis on the policies, educational framework, and governance. The Consultant will work with the Policy Consultant, CCEC
Administrative team and Director of Education to advise and meet strategic planning goals while exercising Indigenous leadership tenets (humility, service to others, consensus decision making). This position will also assist with a structure of lifelong learning and assist with development of a culture and language plan for
Cowessess Education, gather evidence-based information (assets, achievements, school success planning, and maintenance) along with planning for cultural and professional development for CCEC staff. This position will also conduct research and produce reports for Education policies and programs. And any other duties directed
by Director of Education.
