Description

Great Plains College is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic instructor(s) for our Continuing Care Assistant program at the Swift Current Campus. Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the CCA Instructor will plan organize and implement an instructional program and learning environment that guides and encourages learners to develop and fulfill their academic potential.

Start Date: February 24, 2025
End Date: May 26, 2025
Student Contact Days: 17.5 days
Total Contract Days: 20 days

Qualifications:
The CCA Instructor should bring the following qualifications to this position:
- A four-year Bachelor of Communications degree, or B.A. (English or Communications major), or B.Ed. (English or Communications major) or equivalent combination of education which includes a degree (i.e. 20 university full classes) (or U of S/U of R equivalent) with a major in an appropriate subject area and a completed thesis or equivalent research/writing project.
- Two years recent/relevant business/industry experience or post-secondary teaching experience.
- Effective communication skills (oral and written).
- Effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Effective instructional ability.
- Ability to arrange, maintain and evaluate resources.
- Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, email, MS Office Suite software and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
- Ability to work as a team member and foster teamwork.
- Demonstrates valuing diversity.
