Job Description: The home care nurse provides nursing services as assigned in accordance with the current Home Care Nursing Manual and SRNA Practice
Standards.
Education:
- Current registration with Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association
- Possess current CPR certification
- Minimum of 2 years related experience in community or geriatric nursing preferred
Required Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Valid drivers license required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrate empathy, concern and interest in providing quality care for all home care clients
- Must possess effective communication skills and the ability to relate to all individuals
- Ability to deal with clients in their homes and adapt to frequent changes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstration of efficiency and a calm manner in providing nursing services
- Be physically fit and able to perform duties as outlined

Other Northern Incentives as per SUN Collective Agreement are prorated:

- Biweekly Northern Allowance

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA. A vulnerable sector check (VSC) is required for individuals providing patient/resident/client care to vulnerable persons. Internal candidates may be required to provide a CRC and/or VSC during the recruitment and selection process.
