Major Tasks:
Understands the manufacturers warranty conditions and policies and keeps up to changes
Performs the work described in the work order effectively and accurately, based on the dealer and manufactures standards
Submits part requests to obtain the necessary parts including labor times
Ensure customer repair parts are left in vehicle when customer requires
Examines the vehicle assigned to him/her, to determine if additional safety or maintenance repair work is necessary
Notifies Service Advisor/Shop Foreman, as soon as possible if additional work is required, if the work described is unnecessary or if the repairs cannot be done
Reports any defective or poorly functioning equipment to his/her shop foreman or manager
Notifies Service Advisor as soon as possible when vehicle repairs will not meet the agreed upon pick up time
Participates in resolving customer concerns with management staff
Participates in department goals and objectives
Attendance of programs, school, and events sponsored by the manufacturer
Maintains the appropriate level of Dealer training as outlined by the Fixed Operations Manager so that it does not impact any business practices, objectives or goals Maintains a professional appearance
Ensures that customer vehicles are kept clean and reporting any incidents to management as soon as possible
Follows all Health and Safety Policies
Requirements:
Completion or working towards the completion of a Journeyperson Certificate in the field of Automotive Service Technician
