Description

Newmark Hutterite Colony near Wilkie, Saskatchewan, was founded in 2020 as a division from the Rockport Hutterite Colony (Magrath, Alberta, Canada). In 2020 Newmark Hutterite Colony was a Lehrerleut colony. This is a new school in Living Sky School Division opening June 10, 2024, with 11 students from Kindergarten to grade 8.

Summary of Position

This posting is for a Permanent Full-Time Educational Assistant Position at Newmark Colony School, commencing June 10, 2024.  Hours of work are 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday. Educational Assistants are an important part of the school team and promote engagement, participation and success of students. Educational Assistants support students with intensive needs in five key areas: providing personal care, life skills and experiences, academic assistance, communication, and behavioural support as required by students and directed by teachers.

Qualifications

Minimum Grade 12 education with at least one (1) year relevant childcare experience
Post-secondary certificate from a recognized institution in Early Learning & Childcare, Youth Care Worker or equivalent program would be considered an asset
