We are hiring a Permanent Full Time Student Services Teacher commencing August 26, 2024.

Cando Community School

Cando Community School is located in the Hamlet of Cando. Our school has a Kindergarten to Grade 12 program, attended by students from the Red Pheasant Cree First Nation, Mosquito First Nation, and surrounding areas. We are looking for a teacher who is skilled and adept at bringing First Nations history to all curricula through an anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens. This special candidate should be able to differentiate instruction in an alternative learning environment and be able to build relationships with students to provide meaningful connections to the curriculum for them. They should also be an advocate for student needs, finding innovative and creative ways to include student voice in school decision-making structures. SST Teacher - Permanent Full Time 1.0FTE.  The teaching assignment will include supporting students on individualized programs, collaboratively planning for students who may require support in the rugular classroom, scheduling our Educational Assistand support team.  Creating and collaboratively planning programs for students with diverse academic and behavioural needs.

Applicants must hold a valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate.

The successful candidate must possess well developed interpersonal skills, be energetic, have the ability to take initiative and work independently with a positive and supportive attitude in a team environment.
