Job Title:    Specialist Engineer, Engineering Support & Research

Location:      Moose Jaw or Saskatoon
Salary:    $7,831 to $10,180 per month (Management Level 6)

Short Description
As the Specialist Engineer, you will provide specialized professional engineering advice and support to a broad range of activities related to the work of one or more work units within the Operations & Engineering Division, Business Development and Customer Service units. You will undertake moderately complex to very complex projects or assignments and ensure their successful completion, and lead in the optimization and troubleshooting of water and wastewater infrastructure.

Qualifications
To qualify, you will have a Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Systems Engineering or similar discipline. A masters degree with a water/wastewater focus would be an asset. You will also have Professional Engineer status (P.Eng) and a Valid Class 5 Drivers License.

In addition to the above qualifications, the job requires 5 years of progressively more responsible experience in the following areas:
    Municipal water and wastewater engineering
    Provincial legislation and regulations
    Written and verbal communications
    Demonstrated ability to compile complex reports and other documentation
    Ability to oversee contractors and consultants
    Contract administration
    Water and wastewater project design

Special Requirements:  The position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Record Check and Drug and Alcohol test. You must be legally entitled to work in Canada. A valid Saskatchewan drivers license is required.
