Description

The Curriculum Development Coordinator will collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop curriculum, instructional strategies, and content for certification programs tailored to SK First Nations Water Systems Operators. The certification programs include Class 1 through 3 for drinking water treatment, drinking water distribution, wastewater treatment, and wastewater collection. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality learning experiences for First Nations individuals. This role requires a highly organized, motivated, and resourceful individual who can effectively manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
As a valued member of the SFNWA, the successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative team to satisfy the goals and objectives of the SFNWA. The Curriculum Development Coordinator (CDC) will work collaboratively with the Executive Director, and other SFNWA staff to develop educational programming for a customized Saskatchewan First Nations Operator Certification Program. Following the direction of the SFNWA Board of Directors and the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN) and advised by Saskatchewan Water Systems Operators and Water Professionals International (WPI) professionals, the CDC will create a framework for the unique Saskatchewan (SK) First Nations Operator Certification Program. Following the creation of this framework, the CDC will develop educational content tailored to SK First Nations Water Systems Operators and their water systems.
-College/University degree or equivalent in Education and/or Engineering
-Previous success in curriculum and content development and curriculum authoring tools
-Strong knowledge of water treatment and wastewater processes and technologies
-Understanding and/or appreciation of an Indigenous world view
