This is a contract opportunity to oversee the operations of 13 suite resort hotel at Waskesiu Lake (picturesque Prince Albert National Park). Hotel is open May thru September though we are interested in pursuing year-round operation with interested candidates. Due to high summer workload, this opportunity is ideal for a couple (2 people). Management duties include:
Hotel operations including reservations, check-in/out, guest relations, management of on-line booking system, sales & marketing
Collection of revenue; payment of hotel operating costs
Quality control: room cleanliness, amenities & overall guest experience.
Entry of Income & Expenses into accounting system and preparation of monthly financial report
Housekeeping & laundry with assistance from other staff during summer
Hiring & supervision of housekeeping/laundry staff as well as external contractors
Minor repair & maintenance
Property management including security, building systems & grounds maintenance
Securing off-season building security and monitoring
Qualifications:
5+ years experience operating a hotel, resort or related business
Innovative with passion for increasing value to guests, delivering new services that increase revenue, increasing operational efficiency, and embracing new marketing methods & technologies.
Exceptional customer service skills
Proficiency with software including accounting (e.g., Quickbooks), hotel management (e.g., OnRes), channel marketing, web site management, social media and Microsoft Excel/Office
Ability to work autonomously often in a fast-paced environment.
Strong time management, organizational, & communication skills.
